'Los Cerezos' is spectacularly situated just below rugged mountain peaks in the Rio Cerezuelo Valley, nestling high above the pretty and historic town of Cazorla. 'Los Cerezos' consists of three cottages, each decorated in the traditional local rustic style. The rooms are comfortable and each cottage has its own facilities. The property is set in a 9,000 sq. metre garden, amongst hundreds of fruit and ornamental trees whose leaves provide vivid splashes of colour, whilst in spring and summer the air is filled with the scent of Rosemary, Thyme and Lavender. |

From the garden various gates lead directly into the Sierra de Cazorla, the largest national park in Spain. Here several footpaths wind high into the mountains, with breathtaking views over the town of Cazorla and the plains beyond carpeted with olive groves. The national park at Sierra de Cazorla is world renowned for its unique flora and fauna and features an amazing variety of wildlife - Griffon vultures and other large birds are a common sight soaring high above the spectacular mountaintops. |

The historic town of Cazorla is two kilometres from 'Los Cerezos' - five minutes by car. The town's rich historical legacy is reflected by the majestic Moorish castle which dominates the town. To walk the narrow winding alleys and backstreets of this unspoilt town is to step back in time. The local people are genuinely friendly and welcoming to visitors. In Cazorla the living is easy and the people enjoy the good things in life. You can enjoy some of the excellent traditional tapas in one of the town's many bars and explore the town's covered market which sells local produce - this area is the largest producer of olives and olive oil in the world. |

Further afield, the beautiful Renaissance cities of Ubeda and Baeza are just over half an hour's drive away, whilst the great Moorish cities of Granada and Cordoba are just two hours away. How to get to "Los Cerezos" At 261 km Malaga is the closest airport and approximately 3hours drive. Madrid is 380km and 4 hours drive. When you arrive in Cazorla follow the directional sign for the Plaza Santa Maria. Proceed towards the castle of La Yedra which is well sign posted as it houses the museum of the Alto Guadalquivir.The road leading from the Plaza Santa Maria is called Camino del Angel. Do not follow the 180ºcurve on the right that leads to the castle, instead continue straight ahead passing the sign Ermita de San Miguel on your left. As the road is narrow and steep, please drive slowly and with care particularily the first time. After one kilometre the road divides in two, follow the large white arrow saying "Los Cerezos" the road ends 300metres at your destination the carport. |
